What to do in New Market after you arrive

After 4 pm check-in at the Apple Blossom Inn you might consider the following for your evening entertainment:

• Take your own private 7 pm walking tour of Historic New Market, led by your hostess. While you stroll the streets of New Market, you will hear stories and exploits of her nineteenth-century citizens. This tour will tell you things about New Market that you would never learn by merely walking up and down the streets yourself .
• Arrange for a private dramatic performance of “Jessie Rupert: Angel of the Shenandoah” A local actress will come to the Apple Blossom Inn and present a half hour dramatic interpretation of Jessie Rupert, a courageous and outspoken Union Sympathizer, who lived in New Market during the Civil War. “A moving and emotional tale….”
• Catch one of the late tours at Luray, Shenandoah or Endless Caverns. In the summer, the last tour begins at 7 pm. All three caverns are within 12 miles of the Apple Blossom Inn
• If you arrive on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday, go hear the carillon bells of the Singing Tower at Luray Caverns at 8 pm
• Ask about the Rebels Baseball schedule and go to a home game- we are just 4 blocks from the ballpark
• Ask for a bottle of wine to be ready when you arrive and go sit in the Gazebo of the Apple Blossom Inn, unwind and enjoy the woodland setting
